Mommy, can you please leave the lights on!

After Sir Benjamin Franklin discovered the electricity, the human race hasn't ceased to extend its applications. In the process, the great Edison was able to invent the first practical incandescent electric bulb. After this break-through invention, there has never been a paucity of motivation. But what motivated Thomas to develop a bulb??This is General Eerie with his WEIRD FACT :DAY 9 for his fellow earthians.

Thomas Edison's greatest challenge was the development of a practical incandescent, electric light.Contrary to popular belief,he didn't "invent" the light bulb, but rather he improved upon a 50-year-old idea. But how was the spark that ignited him to create the masterpiece set in motion.
LISTEN HERE:Thomas Edison, lightbulb inventor, was afraid of the dark!

When asked once if he were afraid of anything he replied "I am afraid of the dark."Maybe Edison was in a jovial mood while answering, but few sources are quite convinced that darkness gave goosebumps to the phenomenal scientist.
It also appears quite surprising and unusual that Edison wasn't credited to be the first being to develop an electric bulb.Earlier attempts were made by people like Henry Woodward and likes. But in reality, the models designed by these people were termed impractical and inefficient. And then one fine day the everlasting daunting fear of darkness was squelched by Edison and he made wonders. So whenever any fear tries to overwhelm you, just face it and make it go.
